Where it all started…
Long before Perydia became a growing fantasy universe, it was first sketched out by a young Rodney Beacham in a hand-drawn binder on his school playground or in his bedroom. Influenced by the likes of the Lord of the Rings, and games like Final Fantasy, Rodney began to see a world of his own in his mind, and carefully wrote down all he could.
About The Project
Today, we’ve taken a big step toward preserving the legacy of those early pages by digitizing the original hand-drawn binder. This project ensures that Rodney’s early creative genius remains intact and accessible for future development, and more importantly that people who come to know Perydia in the future will know of it’s truly humble beginnings.
Digitizing & Cataloging the Binder
Scanning the Pages for future generations was the easy part. Now, we have begun the process of cataloging, organizing, and sorting the information therein. The pages are filled with intricate notes, sketches, and ideas for characters, races, and storylines. They include character stat sheets, leveling matrixes, magics and spells never before heard of, and much much more.
What’s Next?
Digitizing the binder is just the beginning. We plan to share parts of these early drafts with the community on www.perydia.com, allowing fans to see the origins of the characters and plotlines they’ve come to love. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
